THE ORIGIN OF A CONNECTION
ES VEDRÀ
Es Vedrà is not just a rock rising powerfully from the Mediterranean. It is legend, history and mystery.
The first time I stood before Es Vedrà, I felt a pull that is hard to explain. I knew the stories about its magnetism and about compasses that, they say, lose their bearings near the island. I was captivated by the idea of an invisible force capable of changing the course of things.
I took that inspiration into the studio and began experimenting with mineral pigments. After months of research, I created an ink that responds to a magnetic field. As I brought the magnet closer, the pigment began to move with my gesture, revealing forms I had not planned. I was no longer creating alone: I was creating with matter and with a force I could not see.
This is how GeoMotion Ink™ was born: from my desire to express myself freely and to let the earth take part in the work too.

Each Cofre Vedrà receives its number within the series and a certificate of authenticity signed by Verónica Virreira.
Once box 100/100 is assigned, the inaugural edition will be closed.
THE ARTIST
VERÓNICA VIRREIRA
Verónica Virreira's path began with portrait drawing in pencil and pastel. She later explored metal and oxidation, discovering that time, humidity and matter also take part in creation.
Fire led her to experiment with recycled plastic, transforming it into new forms, colours and textures. This stage taught her to turn error into learning and to value the unexpected.
On the beach of Giz, Brazil, she discovered the colour held within the earth. From her research with earths, stones, charcoal and oxides, Geotinta®️ was born.
Later, magnetism opened a new possibility: moving the mineral particles. This is how GeoMotion Ink™️ was born, where water, pigment and magnetic force meet.
